U.N.I.T.Y Women in Hip Hop exhibition @ Bohunk Institute

Curated by MIMM Nottingham, the first iteration involved site specific works, live art, dedicated collaborations, performances and networking opportunities for female talent and identities.

An art exhibition giving a platform to explore female presence and influence in Hip Hop. The first showing of this touring exhibition was in Bohunk Institute, Nottingham.
My role for the show revolved around galvanising the exhibitors and producing my own peice based on the contemporary female artist Princess Nokia, who works through a lot of relevant issues such as race and sexuality in her lyrics and in her actions.
