It was awarded full University status in 2012. The university specialises in the areas of hospitality and the culinary arts, hairdressing and beauty, tourism, business enterprise, marketing, business management, accounting, finance, events management, sports management, sports medicine, sports therapy and Early Years education.   CAKES AND BAKES COFFEE SHOP LOGO AND IDENTITY​​​​​​​ Though the outlet provides an on-site area where food and drink can be consumed, it was requested that the logo was to reflect the fact that the business is primarily a baked goods outlet.  The Cakes & Bakes wordmark is executed in a clear and unfussy bold sans-serif typeface. It’s loud yet retains a refined and elegant side. The colour blue was selected to associate the business with its UCB parent brand. Blue also evokes a sense of peace and tranquility, perfect for creating a welcoming space to take a time-out, eat, drink and relax.
