Unbinding the Book

  • Laura Hanson
Unbinding the Book, was created to open up a public conversation about what a what a book can be and to position Blurb as credible, forward thinking brand. The fully integrated multi-channel campaign was targeted towards creative professionals, with bespoke artworks created by commissioned artists to push the boundaries of how books can be experienced. The project launched through a series of 3 events in London, New York and San Francisco, together with a blog, documenting each of the artists’ creative journeys, and culminated with the artworks being shown as part of The London Art Book Fair at The Whitechapel Gallery. The project was widely received by the press across Europe with coverage including The Guardian, The Times, Design Week, Time Out, It’s Nice That, Stylist and Crane.tv.
