Unspoken - Sex Education in India

To speak, or not to speak? Being a victim of sexual abuse as a child can never be easy, it haunts you even when you grow up and you need to carry that weight on your shoulders for life. One in every two children in India becomes a victim of such abuse. Determined to find a solution to the problems of gender inequality, discrimination and abuse faced by women and children all over India, my masters project stemmed out of an innate need to break out from a taboo that has managed to ruin the lives of hundreds of millions of innocent souls. However, it’s time now to start speaking up. I urge young parents to not make the same mistakes, to not shy away just because it’s unfamiliar and awkward. I present to you Unspoken, a task based sex education app that helps parents identify and impart age appropriate knowledge to their young ones. Empower your child with knowledge, so that the upcoming generations do not need to face what you must have.
