Urban Abstraction

  • Scott Brickett

Having grown up in East London, an area saturated with street art, underground music and new and ever changing street fashion styles. Many of my teenage years were spent wandering the streets, scoping the city and absorbing my environment. I believe this is where I began subliminally drawing creative information from. As a result my work has been influenced by how and where I grew up. This work represents the collaboration between the inspiration I took from the urbanised areas of Tokyo city, combined with UK street fashion styles in a juxtaposed harmony to create unique multi-layered abstract portraits.
