“Urban Typography" unfolds as a series of handcrafted posters that vividly capture the spirit of London's urban landscape. Merging the gritty essence of graffiti with the precision of typography, this project stands as a creative exploration of city life, crafted with an eclectic mix of materials. Utilising duct tape, markers, and spray paint, each poster becomes a canvas where colourful backgrounds and reflective textures intertwine, offering a tactile journey through the streets of London. ◯ Skilfully combined unconventional materials like duct tape and reflective elements with traditional mediums such as markers and spray paint, creating a rich tapestry of textures on robust, thick paper. ◯ Seamlessly translated digital designs into physical art forms using tracing paper and stencils, carefully layering each element by hand to preserve the integrity of the street-inspired aesthetic. ◯ Wove the rich tapestry of London's street slang and urban motifs into each poster, drawing inspiration from the city's underground trains and the diverse narratives of its streets. The "Urban Typography" series not only embodies the kinetic energy of London's urban scenes but also invites viewers to engage with the multifaceted surfaces and depths of street art. This collection stands as a vivid intersection of art and urban life, encapsulating the diverse rhythms and voices of the city.
