Here in London I worked as a language localisation tester for Testronic and now I work as a translator/text corrector for Pole To Win Europe, a leading company in the field of software and videogames. I am responsible for translations, checking technical bugs in software strings database and, in advanced phases of work, coordinating and cooperating with testers. This position requires both creativity and accuracy, as I have to reproduce in Italian also puns and specific language styles and expressions (depending on game characters) from the English source and, in general, deliver natural-sounding translations that fit into severe space limitations (a task particularly challenging while editing subtitles in cinematic sections of games).
