Apart from technical and linguistic skills (specially concerning the difficult task of making good and natural-sounding translations fit into severe space limitations), this is a position that requires a strong team work and communication skills, as we work on behalf of external clients who want to be updated and informed on a regular basis.

Education
PhD in Modern and Medieval Philology
- Italy
In October 2009 I won a full scholarship for a PhD at Pavia University. My PhD research was a philological investigation of short stories by Marino Moretti (1885-1979), an extremely productive author. Since a complete and accurate bibliography of his works didn’t exist, I examined around 120 different newspapers and magazines, I sifted National and private archives in Milan, Florence, Rome, Bologna and Cesenatico (hometown of the writer, near Ravenna) and I discovered more than 1450 short stories and elzeviri written between 1902 and 1977 (most of them were lost, since they were not collected in books). Then I produced a huge database of these short stories and memories, illustrating evolution of each text and intertextual relationships.
Now my thesis and some materials I have found are part of the archive “Casa Moretti”, in Cesenatico.
During my last year in Pavia, I was accepted as an auditor/assistant at Italian Language Courses for Foreign Students at University, and later I came to Edinburgh, where I worked as a private teacher of Italian Language.
