Visiting a Thorn

The project is about a group of boys from Mombassa, Kenya in the '50s and '60s who are the embodiment of Indian Diaspora in Africa. The project focuses on themes of friendship and Intimacy while also looking at other factors such as change and the loss of a particular way of life. In 2012 my grandad passed away and I never got the chance to fully understand why he left Kenya. However, recently I came across an archive of images that when pieced together will inform me of his past and why he spoke so fondly of his time there. Project is still a work in progress.
