Volvo XC90

An example of when I have successfully managed a project was for Volvo whilst a Digital Executive at Mindshare. Volvo’s numbers were down and they asked me what could be improved in order to boost the launch of their new XC90. After researching, talking with the team and liaising with the client, it was clear the problem wasn’t in the numbers but the budget the client was investing for the expected results. As the lead project manager on Volvo’s social spend, I approached the client with a series of scenarios, showing how - with my project management - and their investment in budget, we could significantly boost their results. Volvo, were really impressed with my findings and methodology and together, we worked on a solution for the next quarter. As a result from my forward thinking and insight, together with the client, we managed to sell out of the 1,927 cars available solely online. This was achieved with both paid and organic social activity. A fantastic result that ended with an extremely happy client.
