Wales Arts International Fund: Ghana
Funding application for Jukebox Collective to Arts Council Wales, Wales Arts International Fund. Inspired by a previous scoping trip to Ghana, partnerships in Jamaica, new connections in Kenya and our Future Creatives network in Wales. Jukebox Collective aims to connect creatives and initiatives that are defying stereotypes and becoming the new generation of storytellers.
The funding explored:
- How do we bring creative scenes in Ghana, Jamaica, Wales, Kenya together?
- In which ways can we exchange knowledge and ideas to inspire new solutions for our communities?
- What does support look like within a global network with a shared vision?
- How do we co-create longevity and impact?
The trip facilitated meetings with creatives and collectives including Surf Ghana, FTY, Derrick Fabgohun and Elevate Network as well as attending events inc Black Star Line, Afronation and Afrochella.
