This project builds upon the idea we had during a one week challenge, however, the idea changed to focus on refugees currently living in the UK and the stories they have to tell of their journey and also of their life in Syria both before and during the war. We carried out this project with three outcomes; which were, a gallery exhibition, a website and lastly an A5 printed publication which displayed all of the photographs and stories we gathered from refugees we interviewed.
For this project I was in charge of designing and organising the production of the book containing the refugees stories in time for our gallery opening in May. I wanted to combine an experimental typographic layout with the portrait photography that one of my colleagues took of the refugees we interviewed.
