About me
Over the past four to five years I have worked in a number of roles across a wide range of companies and charities. This has allowed me to practice many different design disciplines and gain experience in multiple areas of both design and marketing; including a mixture of both business to business and business to client campaigns. Outside of design I have a strong passion for both music and cinema; over the past three years I have been working towards starting to include these passions in my design work.
Projects
  • We are not immigrants
We are not immigrantsThis project builds upon the idea we had during a one week challenge, however, the idea changed to focus on refugees currently living in the UK and the stories they have to tell of their journey and also of their life in Syria both before and during the war. We carried out this project with three outcomes; which were, a gallery exhibition, a website and lastly an A5 printed publication which displayed all of the photographs and stories we gathered from refugees we interviewed. For this project I was in charge of designing and organising the production of the book containing the refugees stories in time for our gallery opening in May. I wanted to combine an experimental typographic layout with the portrait photography that one of my colleagues took of the refugees we interviewed.
  • Thievery Corporation Limited Edition Vinyl Package
Thievery Corporation Limited Edition Vinyl PackageThis brief was set as a university project to choose an album and create new artwork and also promotional material for a special edition vinyl re-release. The album I chose was The Richest Man in Babylon by Thievery Corporation, we were told not to use the artist’s name or album title on the artwork and to include it in the promotional material. I wanted to reflect the nature of the album through a use of strong colours and geometry to accurately portray the atmosphere of the album.

Me and a selection of my university course mates were awarded a fellowship for our project idea and were subsequently given funding to make the project a reality. The idea revolved around aiming to help lessen the impact of the humanitarian crisis regarding refugees from Syria by collecting the stories of refugees currently living in London and broadcasting these via a printed and digital publication.
