What We Are Now

  • Natalie Claire Baker
My play 'What We Are Now' was selected to be produced as part of a one act play festival in Milton Keynes.
My play was originally written as a ten-minute piece while I attended a playwriting course in Kentish Town. It's a dark comedy exploring themes of loss, desperation and the complexities of the human mind. Where chaos and order collide, two characters pasts are explored and a disturbing twist is revealed. You can read more about it here.
The festival was produced by The Play's The Thing Theatre Company. Their previous theatre credits include Abigail's Party, Old Times and Talking Heads. Artistic Director, Rosemary Hill, read through script after script with a small group of local writers before selecting the final four.
