Key responsibilities: -Commission packagers, authors and designers to create brand-new adult reference titles with fresh, exciting and accessible content to suit our market. -Work to tight deadlines, overseeing the development of each series and ensure key dates are met in order to meet shipping and printing requirements. -Project manage new books from concept through to print-ready files. -Work with budgets and retrieve quotes from outside contributors. -Create clear and concise briefs and schedules, maintaining regular communication with third parties, in-house designers and managing editors. -Develop relationships with image agencies, packagers and freelancers to ensure the creative brief is understood and the final files adhere to the brief. I am a passionate advocate for education and believe each and every child should have access to books and educational resources. In November 2014, I founded a language book scheme at IglooBooks that donates excess stock to local SureStart centres. This involves contacting customers, dealing with book requests and arranging collection for the books.
