"Why is the Benchmark European Hair"

For my Final Major Project, I was inspired by broadcasters Emma Dabiri's Channel 4 interview around Black hair. She asked the question, “Why is the Benchmark European hair?”. I chose to investigate where these standards for Black women and Black hair came from in the hopes of understanding the consequences on marketing to Black women in the Haircare industry.
