In these photo series, Tanausu wants to portray a different kind of postcard to the traditional tourist stereotypes by looking at the pavement around trees in the street, these areas often looked on in gaze by passers-by often carry a sense of the lived city, a sense of the changes that happen within a city and how much the true life of a city is lived away from the tourists destinations, how nature becomes functional and disposable, a mere decoration, the pavement that locals experience, where memories are marked by the people who stumble, go to work and die, a sense of beauty in the ordinary everyday.
