Women In Bathrooms

The project aspires to consist of a collection of essays, illustrations, photography, interviews, sketches, poetry, and other 2D mediums that can be realised in a zine format. The title is open to be interpreted and illustrated in any way you feel inspired. The criterion for each submission is that any written piece falls within a 2000 word bracket; anything else of visual content should be able to fit onto a maximum of two A5 sized pages. The conversation of Women in Bathrooms arose between me and a dear female friend whilst swimming in the sea at sunset not so long ago. We explored a few of our own associations with the topic and understood that there is indeed a very intrinsic thread that ties all of these stories together, one that will be revealed the more we collate the accounts and realisations from our other sisters (and brothers of course). This will be the first of a zine series hosted by Woodland Studio, which will feature a range of open conversations that will call upon the voices of our diverse and talented circles to express and confabulate as desired.
