A biological approach categorises our bodies in terms of shape, size, gender and race. Meanwhile the body through movement, gesture, shape and stillness, captures the spirit, emotion and fundamentallyour identity . It is this that fashion design seeks to encapsulate.
The concept presented in this collection challenges traditional views of body shape and proportion and uses the study of the body to bring about new and innovative ideas in pattern cutting.
In this instance the natural form of one individual has been used to create this capsule collection with the aim of highlighting the sometimes missed beauty, intricate details and character of that one individual.
