World pride day flight
In October Virgin Atlantic announced the UK's first ever "Pride Flight", in honour of World Pride 2019 in New York.
We partnered with NYC & Company and the Alliance for Downtown New York for this one-off flight, which will operate from London to Newark on 28 June 2019.
The flight will be a true celebration of queer culture 38,000ft above the Atlantic. It will be hosted by Tituss Burgess – Broadway musical actor and star of the hit Netflix show Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt – and packed full of special guests and live performances to make it a truly memorable flight.
It'll be crewed entirely by LGBT+ pilots and cabin crew, and is available to book exclusively through the Virgin Atlantic and Holidays websites, retail stores and customer centres.
A portion of ticket sales from the flight will be donated to The Attitude Foundation to advance community Pride initiatives here in the UK – and further fundraising and raffles will take place on-board.
