Yes My Lord - Company Branding

  • Simon Kotowicz

The animations in this project needed to serve two purposes - First of all, each animation must be designed as a background to a specific page on our website. But secondly, the animations must be able to edit together into a promo video. The character is based on a popular tourist souvenir from Stockholm, a wooden Viking mantlepiece ornament. Although the character was easy to design and texture paint, the problems with rigging a character without legs or bends in its arms caused its acting to look a little wooden. The staging and lighting is inspired by stop-motion animations from the UK in the 70s and 80s. Things like Magic Roundabout or Chorlton and Wheelies. We chose this because it would make a good, clean backdrop for any website copy. Visit yesmylord.co.uk to see how the website ended up.
