You Name It

Self-centred and self-reflective, this self-initiated brief is based on how my name is so incredibly prone to being butchered. This project was inspired by a list that I have kept for years and am continually updating. It records all sorts of nicknames, verbal mispronunciations, typos, misspellings, confusions with other names, etc. of my name said or written by other people. I selected 16 of these names and described the story behind each mutilation or simply how I feel about the name error. With this as the copy, I designed typographic expressions of each name accordingly. Together, this became a book titled ‘You Name It’.
