Young Creative Council aims to bridge the gap between graduates and the industry, helping young creatives by motivating, educating and supporting those wishing to make a go of it in AdLand. We run workshops, talks, portfolio nights, classes, socials and our own projects.
As a member from 2012 to 2016, my proudest moment was leading a partnership with Creative Equals on a survey to help get more young women into the industry, which you can read about in more detail on The Huffington Post or The Guardian (https://www.theguardian.com/women-in-leadership/2016/feb/03/how-advertising-industry-fails-women). We are currently working on data driven solutions to the problem and have already gained sponsorship for the education of a young female creative.
