I completed a placement within the Design team at Blinds 2go. Over its duration, I engaged in a variety of tasks giving me a good insight and a wealth of knowledge into every aspect of the department.
I worked on tasks focused on product styling for upcoming collections which included preparing roomset moodboards, featuring both market research and inspirational imagery. I was able to bring products to life by creating fabric and blind images as well as placing them in existing CGI roomsets. There was the chance to learn about translating artworks into repeats and creating colourways for a collection. I also had the opportunity to learn about aspects of marketing for both the website and publications. This involved creating a cohesive set of seasonal sales website material, including sliders, snips and mains, as well as experimenting with creative magazine advert layouts.
