I'm a freelance journalist and part-time marketer. This means that as well as understanding how to write clearly and engagingly for both print and digital outlets, I also understand the importance of analytics, content strategy and social media. I research and write in-depth features, conduct interviews, and I write reviews and blogs. My chief areas of expertise are culture and lifestyle, although I also have a keen interest in current affairs, politics and equal rights. For instance, a blog I wrote on America's race relations during the Ferguson riots was quoted in the Washington Post. My articles regularly receive over 10,000 unique views and generate good social media engagement.
