About me
I have over 2 years’ experience working in various office environments, some of which included leading in several areas.
With my experience in recruitment I quickly developed communication skills as my role mainly focused on communicating with candidates whether it be on the phone, via email or face to face. This skill would be beneficial in this role as I would be required to work with staff of all levels as well as liaising with external stakeholders/members of the public. Organisation, multitasking and event management are ideal skills and experience which would be transferable to this role as I currently create event pages, manage delegate list, lead/contribute to event preparation and facilitating.
My role within a communications and engagement team has also allowed me to further develop my planning and management skills as I mostly work independently, I am able to manage my workload through prioritising tasks by business needs and deadlines. This usually also requires me to work with other teams and external stakeholders to put together and support projects and events. In terms of finance, I currently process a high volume of expenses for our volunteers through Oracle systems, process invoices and create records for audit purposes.
I have calm and focused disposition which allows me to work calm under pressure and focus on multiple tasks. I am looking to build on my current skills as well as acquire new skills as I’m a quick learner and always looking to progression.
