I see myself as a human-centered interaction designer by day, and a tinkerer & creative coder by night.
The human-centered approach equips us designers, with methodologies that can help identify, and address real world problems of varying scales. And for me this 'diagnosis' is the most interesting (and important) part of what we do.
If I'm to get more specific, service & system design, information design, social innovation, place making & mobility are areas that deeply interest me, and I intend to grow as an interaction designer within these spaces.
Also the geek inside me likes electricity, code and keeping up with this technologically accelerating time that we are living in. The way I see it, technology is not always the 'final answer', but very often, it is an efficient means to an end.
Projects
- Swappo: Share the SurplusSwappo is a Food Sharing Platform for Lone-Living Busy Professionals, that allows Reduction of Food Wastage through an Effortless Food-Swapping/Sharing system. We indulged in qualitative as well as quantitative research, to try and understand our target group's limitations, motivations & opinions with regard to the food that they waste. This research provided interesting insights & opportunities which finally resulted in the development of a phone application concept. Collaborators: Aris Dotti, Nicolo Calegari Duration: 2 weeks, as part of ‘Designing Mobile Interfaces’ in MAIND, SUPSI.
