Adam Lin is a Taiwanese image-maker and artist based in London. Fascinated by the photographic media, his work centers around themes of identity, intimacy, masculinity, family politics, queerness, and perception.
Working between fiction, fashion, and documentary, he uses image-making to amplify and humanise personal and underrepresented experiences and initiate meaningful conversations through powerful storytelling.

- Close‘Close’ investigates the boundary between intimacy and tension in male friendships, aiming to challenge the toxic gaze and destructive stereotype of masculinity. I cast several couples of male friends to perform different variations of traditionally masculine poses, juxtaposing against soft and intimate ones. In between switching two highly contrasted set of poses, a layer of awkwardness and ambiguity started to unfold, something that cannot be simply defined as soft or hard, intense or intimat
