Duties include finding and authenticating newsworthy UGC videos on social media, carrying out investigative research, curating newsletters, attending daily editorial meetings and pitching stories to The Times.
I’ve also worked with Storyful’s wider editorial team to source and verify eyewitness videos, and cover breaking news for other newswire clients such as The Telegraph, New York Times, Washington Post and ABC News, among others.
Highlights include discovering Harriet, the viral singing donkey from Ireland. The story was picked up by the BBC and broadcasters around the world.
