About me
As a kid I wanted to be an artist but my drawing skills were not that great. So I quickly redrew my life plan and decided that I wanted to be an abstract artist! :D
Fast-forward a few school classes and a couple of design degrees later. I now use my lateral thinking and passion for art and design to produce creative solutions that deliver an aesthetically pleasing and comprehensible message for stakeholders and clients. To achieve this I observe a ‘less is more’ approach to design, keeping it clear and simple.
I love all things design, and often find myself moving between works for print, online or both. I have led small projects like the Royal Greenwich Festivals but also been part of larger teams on international campaigns like the Great Britain campaign, and Dubai 2020. I'm directly involved with all aspects of the design process from initial concepts through to final delivery whether for print or online; designing booklets, event programmes, emails, landing pages, social media assets, posters and graphics to dress venues, among other marketing collateral.
I’m a results-driven designer with excellent communication, project management and mentoring skills, that has a logical and methodical approach to problem solving, achieving tasks and objectives.
My artists tools these days are predominantly from the Adobe CC palette including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Xd, After Effects, Animate and Dreamweaver (PHP,HTML,CSS,Java). As well as project & workflow management tools like Deltek Traffic Live and Adobe AEM.
On weekends I switch my digital tools for more traditional ones like brushes and oils, eager to create yet another abstract ‘masterpiece’ for the garage walls.
As a senior designer with many years of experience I have worked with small and large organisations including Citigroup, T. Rowe Price, Willis Towers Watson, London Metal Exchange, Department for International Trade, Cogora Ltd, Access Intelligence LLC, M&C Saatchi, Jaguar Cars UK, Royal Museums Greenwich, Southbank Centre, Metropolitan Police, Royal Borough of Greenwich, and Portuguese Story Ltd among others.
Projects
- Sustainability Month CampaignI designed a series of posters highlighting the importance of recycling and sustainable living. The core message of the posters is to highlight the importance of recycling in real terms. Not something that 'will' or 'could' happen. The centre image on the poster is accompanied by a short message with a fact that put an emphasis on how passivity might affect 'you', the viewer.
