and childrenswear garments for high street fashion retailers worldwide. I
manage large company accounts - Primark, Matalan and TJ Morris.
Key achievements:
Supported business recovery during Covid-19 pandemic by reinstating 98%
of customer cancelled orders;
Reduced business expenditure numerous times; e.g. negotiated with a client
to avoid air freight fees of £35,000 for delayed orders due to Bangladesh
workers strike;
Helped with a new customer account set up and managed their first orders
worth £750,000.
Key responsibilities:
Ensuring a smooth production process from a confirmation of a
development sample to a shipment of production;
Maintaining 10 to 15 critical paths ensuring all key dates and customer
deadlines are met and producing weekly reports for customers;
Communicating with factories in Bangladesh, China and Moldova and
resolving any arising issues;
Being the first point of contact and liaising with customers regarding any
production queries;
Monitoring status of outstanding samples, including development lab dips
and production garments, and chasing mills or factories if necessary;
Working closely with production teams and ensuring orders are planned in
and on track;
Updating and maintaining internal company's PLM and ERP systems;
Supporting sales team - raising and updating orders, preparing costings, and
negotiating prices with fabric suppliers.
