About me
An enthusiastic filmmaker and producer living in Prishtina, Kosovo, Agon Syla has built a competitive portfolio of film, documentaries, ads, music videos, TV programs and TV reports.
From 2009 to late 2010, he served as producer and project manager at Entermedia, an awardwinning
video production company and volunteered on many other media-related projects.
In 2011, Agon joined Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN) as production assistant and quickly grew through rank to become the producer of Life in Kosovo, a renowned award-winning current affairs TV
program, Justice in Kosovo, an investigative TV program on issues of security and rule of law and other media related projects. He also served as an in-house trainer on production and directing activities.
Agon as a producer in 2014, gathered a team of film professionals to produce a Reality TV Show on employment, named PunPun, that aired on prime time national television KOHA Vision (KTV). The show continues to have new seasons.
His latest ongoing project is a short feature film based on a true story called ‘A Month’, which is financed by the Cinematography Center of Kosovo, Swiss Cooperation Office Kosovo, and Municipality of Prishtina. The film has had its world premier on a Category A Festival (15 of them in the world), in the Cairo International Film Festival. Additionally, the film’s list of Festival Nominations is still growing.
Agon holds a Master’s Degree in Media Management from University of Westminster received under a full Chevening Scholarship awarded by Her Majesty’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office in the UK.
Agon is also a bar/tavern owner and manager, an Airbnb superhost, and a self-taught interior designer with a thriving portfolio.
