Working with local NGO, Learn to Share, a small architecturally trained team assisted the construction and design of a school on the rural outskirts of Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Whilst there, myself and two other volunteers implemented a socio-economic scheme playfully named 'Cleanbodia'. This allowed children to collect rubbish from their surrounding areas and exchange for money with the government. This money would then be used to slowly build a playground for the community which the existing budget did not allow for, as well as encouraging the children to take an active role in caring about the environment.
