Hello! I'm Aisling. I've just finished up three years working at Missoma London as Senior Graphic Designer and am now a full-time freelancer. I'm currently based in Dublin but will be working remotely all over Europe in the coming year. My experience at Missoma and at Tatty Devine prior to this, has provided me with a well-rounded skill set as a designer — ranging from digital and print, branding, and packaging to photography and art direction — all within fast-paced e-comm environments. Missoma is a fast-paced contemporary jewellery brand based in West London. My role and responsibilities at Missoma included - • Leading weekly asset sign off meetings with management teams • Efficiently managing the graphics workload and a team of four designers to both meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment • Reporting directly into the Creative Director and working closely with the Marketing team to develop, grow and curate the Missoma brand • Demonstrating a high level of organisation through file management, clear communication, planning, delegating and anticipating business needs • Newsletter campaign conceptualisation and design execution • Curation of the fast-growing Missoma Instagram page @missomalondon • Homepage and web banner curation across missoma.com • Affiliate display banner and social PPC banner design • Art directing and photographing jewellery still lifes for web, print and social • Managing all product photography, editing of both model and product photography, photo compositing and colour enhancing • Managing print design and production including POS for collection launches, events and brand packaging development • Sourcing, managing and collaborating with freelancers • Liaising and nurturing relationships with suppliers and consultants • Supporting the entire Missoma team with any design requirements or guidance • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and tools • Daily liaising cross-departmentally with Ops, Wholesale, Jewellery Design and Warehouse • Overall, ensuring the integrity of the brand through the use of brand guidelines and acquired in-depth knowledge of the Missoma look and feel
Tatty Devine is an East London cult jewellery brand designing and manufacturing statement acrylic jewellery. My role included - • Creation and maintenance of all brand assets across both print and digital • Print management including artwork set up and liaising with printers • Creation of all website and email marketing banners using both the Magento CRM and Dotmailer platforms • Liaising with photographers and managing product photoshoots • Formatting all website product images and creating look books, line sheets, POS and collateral marketing material per collection launch • Designing all required material for special collection launches, events and promotions in keeping with the brand look and feel • Reporting into the e-Commerce Manager and Creative Director whilst working across all departments to meet their required ad-hoc needs
The Picture Works is a Dublin based media and communications company specialising in indoor and outdoor media, digital and experiential marketing. My responsibilities included - • Securing and designing City Card media campaigns (free postcard advertising media) • Coordinating social media • Coordinating and promoting the online print service which included design and print management and building a strong rapport with clients. I gained an excellent knowledge of paper stocks, setting up print-ready artwork, file management and printing processes I secured this position one month after university graduation. It was at The Picture Works where I discovered my love of graphic design and found the inspiration to pursue a design career with confidence.
I completed 31 briefs over the course of three months and received an excellent education in graphic design and the Adobe Suite.
