About me

I'm Aisling, a graduate of Shillington College London. I moved from Ireland to start my career as a graphic designer and am now Graphic Designer at cult jewellery brand Tatty Devine. After completing my business degree in Trinity College London and spending one year in a marketing and print services role, I decided to finish up in my job, move city and do what feels right for me. Completing a portfolio at Shillington has given me great satisfaction and given me the confidence to present my work to potential employers with pride. I'm a versatile and enthusiastic designer with a positive attitude to challenges. I love to bring personality to my projects which are born from strong concepts and my work doesn't follow one particular style. This makes my portfolio engaging, diverse and perhaps offers something a little different. I am fluent in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. I especially enjoy branding, packaging, print and front-end web design. Finding great design on tube posters, in books, magazines and online inspires me and having the tools and concept development skills to create my own work has been hugely rewarding.

The Picture Works

Jun 2013 - Sep 2014
  • Dublin, Ireland
  • Full Time
  • During my time at The Picture Works I made the decision to go into graphic design. One of the computers had the Adobe Suite installed and I began experimenting while also designing some marketing materials for the company. This is where my journey began! The Picture Works in based in Dublin and is a media and communications company that work in the areas of Indoor and Outdoor media, Digital and Experiential. My responsibilities included marketing and sales for the company, securing City Card media campaigns (free postcard advertising media) and running social media. I also ran an online printing service liaising with artists and small businesses. I received a good grounding in design and print management and found myself designing work for clients which I really enjoyed. Building a strong rapport with clients and co-workers is something that comes naturally to me.
