I am a visual artist/designer currently completing my final year of university. I am currently studying at Parsons Paris for BFA in Art Media and Technology.
My works celebrate the notion of being, and the marks creatures and nature make on the world as they exist. They are about appreciating the local and the foreign, the eccentric and the ordinary, and the tangible and the intangible. My art practice explores various forms of storytelling through which the viewer can transport him or herself into another dimension, another realm, another place, another body etc. A strong narrative has always been crucial for me, because I firmly believe, that stories and tales help us relate, they aid us in preserving memories, they link us to the past, and give us a glimpse into the future. My work explores childhood memories, cultures and stereotypes, sounds, race in relation to technology, literature, and interactivity.
As an artist, I always search for hidden meanings and signs in everyday things. Everything is ephemeral; thus, my artistic journey is mostly about finding ways to preserve memories that otherwise would have been long forgotten. I want to tell stories and give them dimension: tell stories of my own, as well as of other people, places and their cultures.
