I am a Brazilian photographer based in London. I am specialised in fashion photography and people portraiture and my goal in photography is to capture beauty, emotions and lifestyle with cultural sensitivity and in a meaningful way.
Photography is the way that I found to converge everything that I like through a single activity. I am keen on working with people, design and culture. After experimenting with a broad ranch of visual possibilities, I have found in fashion photography the specialty that better suites all of my interests. However, I am still to define my work in a single style, as I love to keep learning and trying new techniques and approaches. Beyond photography, I am also a former graphic designer with experience in branding, advertising and sustainability.
Originally from Brazil, I moved to London in September 2015 to improve my English, but eventually I decided to find a career here. Whilst working in a language school I continued to be involved in photography. I have been photographing people from all over the world; working with refugees, youth groups, running voluntary photography courses at the Consonant (Migrants resource Centre), and leading summer creative workshops at the NCS - National Citizens Service / The Challenge. In 2017 I won the award of outstanding Brazilian photographer in London at the Brazilian Press Awards Uk, and in 2019 I won the Top of Mind UK Awards as featured photographer.
Furthermore, I am a cofounder in the “Know to Preserve” project where we photo-documented the cultural and historical heritage in traditional communities as a pillar for their sustainable development (my MBA theses was based on this project). In 2018 I spent a week documenting a women’s prison in the Brazilian Amazon, which resulted in a photo essay and a beauty session with the inmates published in a magazine in London, and since then I became the photography columnist in this same magazine. Also in 2018 I presented a lecture at the Brazilian Embassy about visual story telling. From 2006 to 2007, photographing with the Red Cross, I documented the Círio de Nazaré, the biggest religious festival in Brazil, which was selected to be exhibited in the Brazilian Embassy in a solo exhibition.
