Working within the creative arm of the agency my role has changed significantly over the last 5 years. Originally hired as a junior to artwork, manage and maintain the production of the press advertising. However the team I was apart of disbanded after 14 months. My responsibilities then quickly escalated to manage the agencies growing demand for creative services which includes designing; inserts, direct mail, press, brochures, email, digital banners, POS and outdoor. The volume of work was such that TSW acquired a smaller creative agency to come on-board. I’m now a senior figure within the team and largely responsible for the creating concepts, designing layouts, account handling and pitching.
Brought in to set-up a new in-house design studio for one of the UK’s major Mail Order marketers. Together with another Designer we built the framework, structure and workflow procedures of the studio. Working closely with the Marketing Manager we managed every step of the design process from concept to production across a wide range of materials including; catalogues, direct mail, press, inserts, web banners, product instructions, photography and packaging.
Here I was the understudy of an Art Director/Senior Designer where my main responsibility was the preparing, resizing and reformatting of press artwork. Ensuring all publication and printer specifications were adhered to and passed printer pre-flight checks. Soon I was developing layouts and had my own clients I was responsible for.
