About me
I am a hard-working and motivated Stage 3 Architecture student, studying at Newcastle University. I am currently searching for a Part 1 placement position in the field of architecture, where I can practice my skills with a high level of responsibility. I am passionate about my profession and feel comfortable in a dynamic, constantly changing environment. I would require Tier 2 Visa Sponsorship for the applied position.

Graduation Project - School of Visual Arts The main concept behind this project comes from an alyses of physical experience when you achieve the awareness and concentration through undergoing the sensation of imbalance. The brief called for designing an institution for a particular craft, so I was interested in the process of drawing and how the architecture can be used to stimulate learning in a field of this creative craft. I have studied the topic by looking at the theory of affordences by psychologist James J. Gibson and undertaking the art classes. I have looked into how the surrounding environments can influence people not only physically, but also mentally. I used this study to arrange the internal spaces in my scheme and organised them around the central route meandering though a sloping site. This type of circulation would encourage the natural movement though the building and trigger visitors’ awareness of the activity at the arrived destination. I have also tried to integrate contradicting geometry between natural landscape and man-made structures, enabling my proposal to adopt the site characteristics and provide a journey between the two environments.
