A University of Leeds graduate having completed an MA in Music and Management and now working as a Consultant in Marketing & PR. Experience in various fields including journalism, events management, events promotion, digital marketing and PR.
Projects
- Bizaar MusicI conceived my own brand Bizaar Music, in which I ran a YouTube channel and event in Leeds. In 3 months the YouTube channel ammassed over 1000 subscribers and to date has accumilated nearly 500,000 views. I collaborated with a number of other brands in the Leeds electronic music scene to promote events and host stages. We ran our launch event with the brand Frontline where we sold-out popular 500 capacity venue Mint Club.

With JIN UK I worked on a number of marketing and PR campaigns for a variety of global clients.
During my time I managed all aspects of social media channels for clients including Europcar and Ricoh, greatly increasing their digital following. Furthermore, I was in charge of conceiving engaging social media content for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn channels as well as working with influencers. I also worked on various administrative duties including producing PR plans and proposals, social media reports and extensive spreadsheets.

I'm a key team member in helping to organise and promote events in Leeds and London, working with a number of venues including Corsica Studios, Studio 338 and Beaver Works. I also work as the features editor for the online blog, having previously worked on the interviews and news teams. This position has required me to be aware of what is happening in the electronic music industry and an extensive knowledge of the scene.

Participated in various business modules such as entrepreneurship and marketing as well as various practical modules including my own music management project in which I will be organising my own electronic music event in Leeds. In this major project I learnt how to manage a number of different factors of a business including brand marketing, collaboration with other brands, promotion and general management. I learnt a number of important marketing and strategic management skills in my business modules that can be applied to various areas in the creative industries. As well as this I worked on a composition module where I composed a score for a short film.
I also participated in a charity cycle from Leeds to Prague as part of the Leeds Raise and Give (RAG) society in this academic year.

Studied modules including History and Culture, Theory, Performance, Journalism, Science and Technology. Was taught in audio engineering and production by Simon Humphrey (recorded the Clash's first album) in 2014 and composed an orchestral film score in 2015. My dissertation was on the topic of film music and the influence of virtual orchestras upon the film scoring process. I imposed the philosophical debate upon whether virtual music could overtake real musicians and liver instruments and went into depth discussing the implications of this notion.
Other activities and achievements included leading a group on a charity hitchhike to Croatia for the Children's Air Ambulance as part of the Leeds RAG (Raise and Give) Society in 2014.
