I compiled an index for the volume 'Sites of International Memory'. 'Sites of International Memory' is a collection of history essays by scholars from a wide-range of research backgrounds. It contributes accounts of collective memory that are internationally or transnationally-oriented to the field of memory studies. My work involved drawing out the thematic lines within the text and plugging them into the index with appropriate key-words. This meant not simply listing places, names and -isms, but also getting a sense for the conceptual shape of the book as a whole, and what a reader of the book might find suggestive.
