    Makeright and Abel & Cole - Collaboration in ActionThe Design Against Crime Centre at Central Saint Martins University are the clever and compassionate people behind Makeright. Their mission is to impart creative skills, resilience and empathy to those incarcerated in some of the UK’s prisons. When they told us about their rehabilitation work, we were in awe of their ingenuity and were keen to help out in any way we could. Luckily, at the same time we were redesigning our bright yellow vans, and had a mountain of canvas panels going spare. So

    MAKERIGHTMakeright is a collection of anti-theft bags designed by inmates from HMP Thameside, London and produced by inmates from HMP Kilmarnock, near Glasgow. The collection takes its name from the Makeright Design Academy, a design education initiative led by the Design Against Crime Research Centre at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.     1A Media Arts Club - Holborn Community Association1A Media Arts Club is open to all young people aged 13 – 18 years old who want to take part in exciting, hands on media arts projects. Each term a different project is run, from film making, to animation or sound design. It’s a chance for young people to learn new digital and creative skills and create their own work, supported by professional artists.
  • The Heartstone Odyssey - Global Learning London
    The Heartstone Odyssey - Global Learning LondonThe Heartstone Odyssey project follows out of the book which is centred on a female heroine, Chandra, and documents her quest to overcome intolerance, prejudice and racism in collaboration with her allies – the mice. The project described here was for school children in Years 5,6 and 7. A digital art work and animation was produced using the art and written works of the school children who engaged with the project.
