About me
A proactive commissioning photo editor with extensive editing and research experience, at news agencies and a charitable foundation. I have assigned editorial photography and video in collaboration with journalists and a variety of internal and external stakeholders, building local freelance networks around the world. The ideation, creation, production and distribution of high-quality online content and visual packages to deadline is second nature to me, and I have a strong understanding of the role of photography in shaping brand voice.
Projects
- When Science Finds A Way (Wellcome Trust)Worked with locally based photographers and internal and external stakeholders and lived experience contributors to produce 12 portraits of trailblazing scientists and researchers changing the world, alongside the people who have inspired and contributed to their work. Photographs were used to promote the podcast series and prints now adorn windows of Wellcome's head office in London.
- Oral Cholera Vaccination campaign (Wellcome Trust)One of my final commissions for the Wellcome Trust, documenting the foundation's funded OCV campaign in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Working with a locally based photographer to challenge colonial narratives in the depiction of health issues.

Visual Brand EditorWellcome Trust
- London, United KingdomFull Time
As the Wellcome Trust's visual brand editor I established new ways to visualise the foundation's health challenge areas and brand identity. I was hired to evaluate and improve existing workflows, while commissioning and coordinating multiple freelance photographers around the globe. I navigated a wide range of internal and external processes and stakeholders to ensure my research and commissioning was aligned with the foundation’s inclusive principles of ethical contribution, payment and representation, in collaboration with the foundation’s communications and public engagement department. I worked ethically with all contributors, entering dialogues and seeking input to challenge colonial narratives in the depiction of health and climate issues. I worked closely with Wellcome’s directors of research programmes and their teams to create guidelines for empathetic and solution-based imagery and ensured a high standard of coherence in visual style while also maintaining schedules and meeting production deadlines.
