Having recently graduated from York University with a 2:1 in English and Philosophy, I feel readier than ever to begin my aspiring career in journalism.
I am ready to explore the world of journalism further, and I have so much energy to commit to exploring the people and topics that inspire me. My running of Basis would help me a huge amount in any new role, and I could bring much of what I’ve learned so far, plus a willingness to keep learning more, to the table.

BASIS is an online and print magazine with a focus on in-depth conversations with creatives and artists.
Over the course of our first year, we have made connections with a talented pool of artists, and we are now in the process of creating our first print issue. The first issue of BASIS was released in March, with all profits going to arts organisations.

I recently graduated with a 2:1 in English and Philosophy from York University. The Philosophy side of this degree broadened my mind and I was exposed to new ideas about the world and human life, while the English Literature side took my writing to the next level.
