About me
In my work, I have always been fascinated with the relationship between audiences and their designed environment and see myself as much as a technical designer of objects and systems as a designer of performance where the audience is integral to the project if not the design itself. Having trained as an architect I have worked across the field of creative production at all stages between the inception and completion of projects. With professional experience (beginning in 2012) from animation and visualization; digital and analogue fabrication processes; static and interactive installation and sculptural design as well as more typically architectural and interior design I have developed a broad range of creative and technical skills and competences within the field of production. While most my experience is within the scope of design development and Art direction I am also experienced as a project manager used to co-ordinator the logistics around the delivery of publicly exhibited projects producing scheduling, managing funding and costing and composing detailed risk assessment and method statement documentation for insurance and health and safety officers. My principal software packages: - 3ds max - Solidworks - Autocad - Adobe suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Perrier Pro With a practical knowledge of: - Rhino - Revit - Powemill Pro - Arduino/ Processing C++ For more details on my work and full CV please visit my website: www.akwstudio.com/

Education
MArch Architectural Design - Interactive Architectural Designer
     - London, United Kingdom
My research explored the application of integrated technology into designed environments an how these could be used to curate subject matter or performance in environments. I tested my theoretical assertions about the way people and objects form subjectivity or the nature of an environment testing my theoretical assertions with a series of sculptures and installations and developed my knowledge of technical detailing, specification of mechanical and electrical systems as well as industrial precision fabrication processes. (Between 04/2016 - 02/2017 I interrupted my studies to take up a position working for the IALab as an assistant working on projects undertaken in collaboration with creative production companies for research, events and exhibitions)
