About me
My name is Alex Khan and I am a video editor, as well as a photographer, videographer and cinematographer.
What inspires me about these roles is the power of storytelling, through which conveying a message in such a way can connect deeply with the audience whilst simultaneously addressing a topic clearly.
Video editing is what I enjoy and excel at and I have always been attracted to camera work as well such as photography, videography and cinematography. Through years of participation doing these roles I have a keen understanding of expressive storytelling.
I have a great technical understanding of how to use a camera as well extensive knowledge of Adobe editing software, as my course contained practical teaching - This equipped me with the right knowledge and experience for going straight into work as a postgraduate. I have been pursuing these roles through education, personal projects and professional work, gaining a wider knowledge with each step to help me ultimately achieve my goal of becoming a successful individual within the digital media industry.

While here my role primarily consisted of working closely with bespoke software for analysing infrared aerial drone footage, of solar modules. I would scan through footage daily in order to detect anomalies that would or could interfere with the allowing the modules to be working at peak efficiency. I greatly enjoyed being part of an international organisation which helped keep eco-friendly energy functioning.

My main responsibilities include editing and crafting new commercial videos for international and well-known brands. Additionally, I amended client feedback and internal feedback while working closely with the directors and clients themselves. This role demanded a prompt and timely determination to meet deadlines. Another key responsibility included Quality Control for other editors' work and training new employees within my department. My greatest achievement working here, was being appointed the role of lead editor and successfully landing a new company client.
