?Spent 2 months at this rapidly expanding music channel assisting the General Manager, and was therefore exposed to the many complex elements that contribute to the running a 24 hour channel, from programme scheduling to sponsorship, relations with the press to talent booking. ? Was in charge of the company’s social media accounts which they use as their sole marketing tool. Wrote at least 10 posts a day (including weekends), relating to the channel’s content as well as original material that appealed to their audience demographic and attracted new interest. This required market research and as a result, devised innovative ways of growing their audience and saw excellent growth in their on-air and online ratings as a result. Used social media scheduling software to ensure posts were generated at the most beneficial times. Attended shoots as a production assistant in a crew of roughly 15, aiding set up, attending to talent and managing audience members. ?Oversaw purchase orders and gathered all production costs. With at least one shoot a week, ensured all costs were collected and the system was kept up to date. ?Assisted with general administrative duties, ensuring the office ran smoothly, appointments were kept. Took meeting minutes and circulated amongst team, ensuring they were coherent and distributed promptly. ?Thrown into a fast-paced, bustling working environment, quickly got to grips with new software and had to solve problems relying on initiative.
?Spent 9 months at the prestigious independent production company, gaining access to television from its development to production. ?Gained first credit as a Researcher on a 6x60 minute entertainment series within 4 months, singlehandedly casting all 12 contestants, coming up with innovative ways of reaching out to people, and advantageously employing social media. ?Set up 6 locations per episode, gaining access to prestigious spaces and events and attended shoots to ensure everything ran smoothly. ?Liaised with and managed many types of personalities and employed initiative quickly solve any problems that arose. ?As part of the development team, was involved in coming up with new formats to fit the demands of major UK and US channels. Altered working hours accordingly when working on a US production.
