About me

Alexandra McCarthy is a Birmingham illustrator/cartoonist, she studied at Birmingham City University where she received both BA and MA degree in illustration. Alex’s biggest artistic influences was the hit show on Cartoon Network, The Power Puff Girls (not the new version). She has been drawing since she could pick up a crayon.

• Nursery Rhyme Conveyor BeltI created a conveyor belt based around the classic nursery rhyme "The Woman Who Swallowed A Fly". I figured that children would prefer something to interact with while hearing the nursery rhyme instead of looking at a book.
