I’m a Norwegian director, cinematographer, screenwriter and a VFX artist, born to Iraqi parents in a time of war and escape between countries in the middle east. I love cinema with a drive to tell stories from an imaginative mind.
The technological advancement in multimedia world has always fascinated me. It started the first time when I laid my hands on a VHS player at the age of five, and dissembled it just to know how it works and how the image is produced. The world of cinema has a special place in my mind, and likely shaped some part of who I am today.
Although I’ve always had an interest in information technology as a hobby and as part of my jobs, the work in film and video has been a dream since my childhood. Later in my mid teen years I got the chance to start a few collaborations with online content creator, and was able to be part of many fields of the pipeline for indie short film production. I’ve been part of projects where I’m a VFX artist, 3D artist, director, cinematographer, editor and even as an actor. I’ve also tried the opposite of this medium; Games. I’ve helped develop a few that didn’t make it to launch, but also have made a couple mobile games on my own that are available on the market.
Today I hold a Master’s Degree in Digital Effects for film production with experience in everything directing to delivering films. This merge between science and technology has led to an even greater passion for cinema. It will likely always keep me as an enthusiastic, disciplined and a hard working professional with a keen interest in visual effects and film production, who will enjoy contributing to the advancement of this field.
