At the archive my roles concern organising military vernacular photography - adding metadata to images and collections, high-res scanning, and improving and maintaining our website and digital database colle, plus the collection of Kodachrome slides and transparencies, where I process all new acquisitions. We also produce books with our curated material, and donate collections to galleries.
Ongoing for a decade I have worked as a photographer for a range of companies and publications, such as Interview Magazine, The Evening Standard, The Sunday Times, Suitcase Magazine, Lloyd's of London, HP Inc., RFR Property and Golden Squared Consulting.
For this global debating organisation I designed all printed and digital matter for the events and debates they organise, as well as documents for potential sponsorship clients. I also made sure the website was up-to-date, and our branding consistent across our channels.
I had many responsibilities at this photography gallery, including creating digital marketing documents and PDFs, organising the gallery’s collection of books, then during exhibitions I assisted with framing, labelling and hanging prints. I also helped the accountant with filing, and kept the database of clients and staff refined and up-to-date.
My jobs varied daily, from image searches for the Editorial team, to designing photographers’ project treatments for the Commercial team, and generally keeping the office and Print Room organised.
Foundation Diploma for a year, first specialising in 3D/Spatial design then ending up in Visual Communications
My postgraduate studies were part-time over 2 years at London's evening college University, studying History of Art, specialising in the study of photography. I took a Museum Studies module in addition, and achieved a Pass with Merit overall.
