    Creative Producing/Event ManagementBirmingham Ceremonies
     - Birmingham, United KingdomInternship
My role consisted of assisting the creative producing team for the Opening and Closing ceremonies of the common wealth games. My responsibilities constantly shifted, as it was an internship so I was getting the full experience. However, some of the main things I've taken away from this process is general production knowledge (budgeting, scheduling, NDAs, research, general props/performance sourcing), accreditation skills, fast paced working skills and high organisational skills. After my internship ended, I was asked to come back on a freelance basis to help with the finishing tasks (after the closing ceremony).

Bachelor of Arts (BA) University of Leeds

Theatre & Performance BA (Hons) - 2:1 Activities and societies: Music theatre society, Stage musical theatre society During my time in Leeds, I have worked, completed a degree and participated in shows with my society simultaneously. My degree has taught me a lot about the practicalities of work within a theatre and production, as well as performance more generally. What I mean by this is that my degree also taught me about political, social and cultural performance. I completed final year productions each year. During my final production, my role was costume and makeup designer/producer, director (of one scene) and actor. This experience helped me get to grips creatively with the versatilities of a range of roles. The roles taught me valuable skills to do with budgeting, multi-tasking and leadership. In my society I performed in various musical theatre shows such as: Urinetown, Cry Baby, Legally Blonde and Grease. There would have been more shows if Coronavirus had not happened.

Level 3 Extended National Diploma in Performing arts (Musical Theatre)Birmingham Ormiston Academy
     - Birmingham, United Kingdom
Grade: Distinction* Distinction* Distinction During college I studied Musical Theatre alongside 2 A Levels (English Literature and Geography). My musical theatre diploma taught me bounds about the theatrical world and where a lot of practices we use in theatre today come from. Furthermore, the course was perfect for allowing me to reach my full practical potential; I had dance, fitness, singing and acting lessons everyday. I worked with theatre professionals in workshops and became a very confident within my knowledge of &/ capabilities of performing within the industry of the arts. I knew my next steps to progress in this field was to learn more at University and develop my skills further, which is exactly what I did.
